Our Troop uses a "simple" white trailer to transport 90% of our gear to and from each campout location.
Our trailer has been outfitted (by us) with multiple shelves with:
Patrol Boxes (food cooking equipment)
high-quality tents
axes and saws
Dutch ovens
cooking and cleaning gear
propane
stoves
cleaning tables with bins
dish cleaning equipment that attaches to the side of the trailer
a flag pole (also attaches to the front) and US Flag
Troop Triage (first aid) Kit
water jugs
emergency equipment
tables
2 hot water pots
clipboards, corkboards, and whiteboards for Patrol Duty Rosters, the Troop Quartermaster, and for the campout planner,
plus a lot of extra gear so that we are prepared for anything.
The trailer is also outfitted with lighting and a solar-chargeable onboard battery, as well as industrial-grade flooring to handle anything thrown at it. The shelving units have detachable chains for safe transport and are also industrial-grade.
All of this, and we still have enough room to move around (barely). So, as you can see, it's a very impressive campout base. The men behind it all are Mark Everett, Russ Skinner, and Jerry M. (read about Mark and Russ in the Contact Us section). They have improved how our Troop handles gear in many ways and they always keep people accountable for any gear that they use.
